EDIT DISCLAIMER: After reading what eyewitness wrote, I thought I should just say - I do not condone actual sexism. I am all for equality for all races, genders, religious/cultural backgrounds. I still find this extremely hilarious though :P

Haha Ayush that stuff is gold! Looks like it's time to pull out the big guns then, this is probably the most verbose, but my favourite webcomic I've come by. It's not for everyone, and there is the occasional serious one, but if you're into it, then we should like, totally make out or something
http://www.viruscomix.com/subnormality.html
The latest one is up there, but go back through the archives to check a few more out if you'd like. Here's a few of my favourites
This first one is probably the most serious, and longest one I've read so far heh...
http://www.viruscomix.com/page474.html
These others are less verbose:

http://www.viruscomix.com/page337.html
http://www.viruscomix.com/page382.html
EDIT: Sorry had to put in one more

Love that 'Maybe One Day' video too man, it's wicked!
So since I've already shown my favourite comic, everything from now on will pale in comparison
This one's fair funny - 'The Punchline Is Machismo'
And this small series is one's my favourite of the Machismo comics so far heh, feel free to check the rest out yourself, just click the red next arrow! They're all alot less verbose than Subnormality .

That's pretty cool. Heaps different, it's interesting. I like how it's like a 'kids book' but still has a pretty 'deep' kind of meaning to it. Sad I guess too, the boy seems pretty selfish - only taking
So, here's another random find. This guy is a troll basically, but the good/funny kind, as long as you're not on the recieving end lol. He posts his antics on his site, apparently all of it is true. Check it out, I literally crack up laughing while reading the better ones. (And what makes it better - he's from Adelaide. Yeah that's right. There's nothing to do here. So we sit on our crappy internet all day )

Those 4 are some of the better ones I can remember, there's alot more in the site though.

Unfortunately I never got into comics. Used to read a few like Spiderman and any other Marvel ones I got in showbags from the royal show lol. I also want to get into graphic novels and have read a bit of manga but not enough to say I follow it closely.
The most obvious choice for a graphic novel is The Watchmen I guess, so I might start off trying to find that one in the holidays. You read comics at all?

yeah. alot. i would suggest actual comics before graphic novels, the two are very different beasts at times. but if your doing graphic novels there is an excellent one called 'the alcoholic'; http://www.amazon.com/Alcoholic-Jonathan-Ames/dp/1401210562
i will just say this though for comics. vertigo is the label you should eat, live, and pray by. they have consistently awesome fucking comics.
i suggest you start with one of the following; fables, transmetropolitan, hellblazer, dmz
a sick comic site is komics-live.com, make an account there and you can literally get almost any comic you want for free. theen if you really like some, whcih you will - buy a couple.
